An exhibition in memorandum of Beaumont Newhall by the Museum of Fine Arts New Mexico. What is special about this exhibition booklet of 60 pages is that it includes his letters to friends and letters of tribute and remembrance from friends such as Virginia Adams (wife of Ansel and a active member of their foursome), photographic reproductions of his peers such as Steiglitz, Minor White, William Henry Talbot Fox, Dorothea Lange, and of course Newhall.
Beaumont Newhall (1908 - 1993) was an influential curator, Art historian, writer, and photographer. His The History of Photography remains one of the most significant accounts in the field and has
become a classic photo history textbook. Newhall was the recipient of
numerous awards and accolades for his accomplishments in the study of
photo history.
CONDITION: Booklet is in nice condition BUT the paper cover has some wear marks to front and back.1993 Printed on nice stock.
