In particular this flash was produced for the Canon IV, which was introduced in 1951.
A similar unit may be seen on p.103 of Professor Peter Dechert’s, “Canon Rangefinder Cameras 1933-68”.

CONDITION:Very good overall, except for the collector literature. Inside lid which holds reflector and accessories, needs to be reglued. The previous owner was a smoker, and there remains a faint scent of smoke. We have not tested this unit but stand behind what we sell.
