Description

Vintage Canon camera case for S II model, made 1946- 1949.

Marked "CPO" on back, which stands for "Central Purchasing Office", indicating it made for sale through occupation personnel exchanges.

Another unusual variation to this case is the cut-out on the top rear edge, which was possibly for a synch connection. The cut-out was not standard for this case.

Also supplied is the original case screw in 1/4-20 bushing. The camera was made available with either 3/8 or 1/4-20 sockets.

CONDITION:The hinge is still strong, and the leather finish could be easily restored, but the finish is all original.

There is minor remnants of old owner's name and address in white lettering on the top.
