Description

This book presents ten handsome designs for small rugs to be worked in needlepoint. The designs are based on favorite Chinese motifs such as peonies, cranes, fish and so on, and embody the spirit of Chinese arts and textiles.

If custom-designed and painted on canvas each rug would cost many times the price of this book. By starting with a blank canvas and following the very clear graphs, one can make a substantial saving and have the fun of seeing the design grow righ before one's eyes.

Each design is fully graphed and is illustrated in color. Directions are given for transplanting the graph to canvas, working the pattern, and finishing off, binding and lining. Color combinations are suggested but of course the worker is free to choose whatever colors would be most suitable.

CONDITION: Hard Cover, with DJ. DJ has wear and tear - we have enclosed it in a clear mylar cover. 111 pages. USED with light wear. Book is in very good condition. 1975.
