David (Davit) Kakabadze (August 8, 1889 to May 10, 1952) was a Georgian avant-garde painter, graphic artist and scenic designer. A multi-talent, he was also an art scholar and innovator in the field of cinematography as well as an amateur photographer. Kakabadze's works are notable for combining innovative interpretation of European Leftist art with Georgian national traditions, on which he was an expert.

This hard cover book in ENGLISH and Georgian show cases over 150 full color pieces of his work, spanning much of the life of the former Soviet Union.

CONDITION: Hard Cover, decorative boards, Georgian Information Service 1983. Text in ENGLISH AND Georgian. 189 pages. USED with light wear. Very Good condition, clean. Wear of note to top edge of spine and corners, mild fraying and bumping. Rare - Hard to Find. It is signed and dated inside front cover in Georgian, perhaps by essayist as artist was not alive at time of publication.
