Description

Indirect X-ray camera - WWII era Japanese medical equipment / camera

  • Serial number 18206
  • Marked B-3 on the back with eagle logo
  • There is no manufacturing name on this camera. possibly Early Mamiya or Minolta.
  • Japanese text on camera back translates to : X-ray fluorescence reduced copy device - reduced copy=smaller image.
  • Built in dark slide
  • Film format 24x25mm.

Minolta and Mamiya were pioneers of the indirect x-ray camera. This camera is a very rare early model, probably made sometime between 1945 and 1950.

The camera takes special film cassettes, which are included with the camera.

The serial number on the back of the camera is different, 18205.

The early Japanese x-ray cameras were discarded when newer models came out and many were lost during the war. Few good specimens of an Indirect X-Ray camera remain today.
