A wonderful feather pendant, made by noted Navajo silversmith, Lena Platero.

The pendant is approximately 3 inches in length, and features a large faceted Amethyst cabochon. The back is marked sterling, and signed by the artist.

Includes a 20 inch sterling silver chain (not made by the artist) with lobster claw clasp.

A wonderful naturalistic design! Feathers are a power talisman in Native American culture.

Born in 1954, Lena Platero is a self taught silversmith specializing in sterling silver feather jewelry. She creates detailed feather pins, earrings, pendants and much more with and without stones. Her last name, Platero, means silversmith.
