Interesting piece from a Santa Fe estate. While this appears to be Native American we cannot authenticate it as such. It appears to hand sewn around around the back edges (see photo) where the medallion is padded leather backing. 19 inches from one end to the tip of fringe. This is the type of piece that is worn in full costume for a dance ceremony at a pow wow. This piece has a quality, handmade, simple appeal.
