Pierrot Malade Original Etching c 1870 Charming etching by noted French etcher, Eugene-Andre Champollion (1848-1901).

After a painting by Thomas Couture. Image size 5 x 4.25 inches on sheet 7 x 10.25 inches.

The hapless Pierrot is being attended by a physician. The empty champagne bottles on the floor, a reminder of the hangover caused by excesses the night before.

In very good condition, minor foxing at image edge. Ready for matting and framing. ORIGINAL - Not a modern reproduction!
