Morning Glory and Fairy, albumen print by Longworth Nicholas Powers (1835-1904).

This print is on a carte de visite (CDV) and measures 2.5 x 3.75 inches.

The subject is a sculpture either by Hiram Powers (1805-1873), a noted American Neo-Classical sculptor, or his son Longworth Power.

Both father and son chose to move from the U.S. to Florence, Italy. Florence had highly skilled stone carvers, who made editions in marble of their work

The back of the print features the photographer's studio stamp. Longworth Powers also photographed portraits for commercial work.
