Frederic Remington (October 4, 1861 - December 26, 1909) was an American painter, illustrator, sculptor, and writer who specialized in depictions of the American West. His focus was firmly on the people and animals of the West, with landscape usually of secondary importance.

Here in this oversized monograph of 17 pages, with 16 full color plates and 1 full page sketch, is the story of Charles M. Russell and his works that charmed the world.
