Kodak Series V screw on to take Series 6 Accessories, comes with a retaining ring. This is a great piece for a lens with a small front opening,

You will need a series 5 thread on the lens, or a screw on/ slip over adapter that coverts the lens to Series 5. 

A couple of reasons why you might want to use this piece are:

1. You want to use larger filters because it is a wide angle lens or a special configuration. or

2. You have Series 5 filters you are using on this lens but you want to attach a Series 6 lens hood.
