57 paintings and pencil drawings by 21 children of the Taos Native American Pueblo, ages 13 and 14 years old, in the seventh and eighth grades of the local day school...these paintings when first presented to the public in 1968, were noted by Andrew Dasburg as - These paintings are unsullied by theory and teaching. They spring from the heart with love and joy...

Here were not childish paintings but pure magic and composition rendered in the simple and the abstract with naturalness and sophistication, the magic of love, freshness and terrifying awareness...
